🛰️ IX FEBIC 2024
Summary
Brazilian Fair for Scientific Initiation in Pomerode (SC) — 3rd place in the Graduation category with the satellite trail removal project, still incomplete at the time.
🗓️ About the event
Page dedicated to participation in the Brazilian Scientific Initiation Fair (FEBIC)** in Pomerode (SC).
Me and the Maycon Jorge Deláqua da Silva we represent the IFF Bom Jesus of Itabapoana with the project “Simulando o impacto de satélites em observações astronômicas”, about how artificial satellites cause light pollution and harm astronomical observations. We stayed in3rd place in the Graduation category, even with the project still incomplete and competing with more advanced and already patented applications — a result that also accredited us for the MCTIA 2025, in Bethlehem (PA).
Opinion
That was a new fair! None of us knew it and it was interesting! From the initial route, we went by bus/car to Pomerode (SC) with our advisor Dr. Ana Cecília Soja, until the route back, stopping at the Museum of Ipiranga in São Paulo (SP)! We were three students of the IFF, and Marcos, another guiding Ana, we met there, and a very nice friendship arose, sharing an airbnb and collecting historical moments, which today we cherish with affection. During the fair we had the opportunity to meet many people, from different areas of knowledge, and at different academic moments, the cultural exchange was very cool, and the organization of the fair allowed us to get to know a little about the city as well. On the last day of the awards, it was very magical because for the first time I was on stage, and Maycon, at his first science fair also went up, won third in the category of Higher Education.
