The Annual Meeting of the SBPC was an experience of immense academic and personal value. Unlike congresses focused exclusively on astrophysics, the diversity of topics in the SBPC allowed me to expand my vision of the social role of science, technology and national data sovereignty.
The UFF infrastructure proved to be excellent, with a very dynamic flow of accreditation, lectures and booths. In addition, the ease of mobility in Niterói (using the NitBike public bicycle system) allowed for a very nice integration between the event schedule and the knowledge of the region. Understanding the scientific policies under construction in the country renewed my motivation for basic research.
